We kicked off the 1455’s first Summer Literary Festival on Thursday, July 18 at the Winchester Brew Works. The event was entitled “Stories and Suds,” and featured local authors Jessi Lewis, Kirsten Porter, Hannah Grieco, Kara Oakleaf, and others. It was followed by the panel WRITING AFTER 50, moderated by Kelley Crowley (Shenandoah University), with Zia Wesley (NOTES FROM A BROAD: MY UNCENSORED YEAR IN ITALY), Ronnie-Citron Fink (TRUE ROOTS: WHAT QUITTING HAIR DYE TAUGHT ME ABOUT HEALTH AND BEAUTY). The evening concluded with an Open Mic.
