Longing

I dream of touch,

the warm palm of a man’s hand

searching out the secrets of the curve of my hip,

the silky skin of my inner thigh,

fingertips reading the history of past pleasures and infinite hope.

I dream of breath brushing my skin,

bathing me in its sacred signature,

and lips — tasting my very own taste.

I dream of being home to someone’s embrace,

of belonging.
