The Photographic Landscape
Where to begin with Matt Mendelsohn? Is it his decades of expertise? Is it his award-winning portfolio? Is it the many countries his passions have taken him (and that he’s captured, indelibly, on film)? Is it the fact that President Obama chose his election night photo as his personal favorite from the 2008 campaign? Or is it the fact that he’s the genuine article, equal parts enthusiast and raconteur; that he cherishes the opportunities his talents provide, and how he serves as an advocate for authenticity — of form and style? It is, of course, all of these things, and more, and 1455 is honored to feature his reflections on the state of the art, as it relates to professional photography, and how complicated things are becoming.
