Artist Statement
I utilize photography to capture my fascination with life throughout its various stages. My images are inspired by my captivation with the concrete–that is, cities and landmarks–as well as the susceptible–that is, landmarks privy to change by environmental factors. My passion is to capture fragments of urban wreckage and vast landscapes, and fleeting moments of enmeshment across both. The temporal essence of the material is indicative of the passage of time and the necessity of each moment, while the ephemeral nature of the material itself showcases my desire for a deeper connection to the natural world.

I am originally from Chicago, which is where my passion for photography started. I expanded my artistic endeavors throughout my time at the University of Redlands in Southern California, and now, living in Brooklyn, New York, I have been able to apply what I’ve learned to a new urban tapestry.
