Author Series
Readings and Discussions with Writers
The New 1455 Author Series
During the last six years, 1455’s Author Series has evolved from in-person interviews to online conversations. As the series has grown, we have hosted authors from literally around the world, speaking with novelists, poets, essayists, memoirists, biographers, and more. We now receive many more requests than we accommodate, and find ourselves at a crossroads: we hate to say no, and want to support as many storytellers as possible, but our resources and bandwidth are limited (you can support our free programming here, and help us spread the word!). In an effort to celebrate as many authors as possible, we are now accepting recordings directly from writers. Our goal is to allow authors to showcase their own work via pre-recorded videos, which we will share on our website, YouTube channel, and social media.
Here’s how it works: if you’re interested in being part of this series, kindly complete the submission form below. Please understand that we cannot guarantee acceptance, but will consider all proposals. We’ll review submissions throughout the year and hope to showcase 1-2 authors per month (priority given to authors with new or imminent releases). We look forward to hearing from you!
